Well Dustin, i guess its ok to steal...as long as you tell someone that you are stealing.... i think that's how the law is written?
Nice start here, i like the pencil renders, esp. the purple ones on top. |

Hey i recognize those guys battling on the bottom left... didn't you use that spear-guy in your snowy-battle scene? The other guy has some sweet thick mini swords too! Still bustin them out in bed....and then sketching lol? |

finally getting some of the feeling back in my drawing hand, after a bunch of physical therapy and the cortisone shot and stuff. AND finally got my scanner drivers working again. So we're back in business. |

Hey man, i just noticed all the great poses you used in this last update...those bottom characters all have very dynamic positions. I think all your life drawing is paying off nicely. Do you have any bigger projects in the works D? I know you're still getting back into it? |

I was looking at some caricature demos and got to thinking about likeness... something I've never gotten comfortable with. None of these are really caricature-y, but I had a bit of success in making some of them recognizable.
And this is a Terry Pratchett character, drawing came out fun enough and I went crazy enough with the line art that I might decide to paint her/it later.

Kept working on that Golem piece, but I totally hit a wall and felt burned out... here's how far it got.
Thought I'd play with some random ideas just to loosen up my head... really fun, I need to do WAY more of this stuff.
the first (top left) guy got me started on a "scared monsters" theme. |

 some doodles for a piece I will want to paint, the character is named "Brutha" and the turtle is "the Great God Om" from a Terry Pratchett book called Small Gods. |

Not yet... this last weekend I spent some time trying to follow one of Don Seegmiller's tutorials in "Advanced Painter Techniques" - not thrilled with the results but I definitely learned some stuff...
Hoping to get some of my mojo back at life drawing this weekend. I've been in a bad art rut lately. |
